SUNDAY MORNING WORSHIP

10:45 AM

Welcome to Okeechobee Church of the Nazarene! (OkeeNaz)

We exist to cultivate and live The Three Loves ordained by Jesus in  Luke 10:27-28. We believe the best expression of these loves is found in building relationships; exercising each in its proper place:

  1. Sacred Love. Our relationship with God takes priority over all else.

  2. Self-Care. Our holistic health matters. Understanding the value God gives us (Ephesians 2) allows us to properly value other people. This is the antithesis of selfish, or self-centered love.

  3. Selfless Love. Our relationships with people are how we share the Gospel of Jesus and encourage each other to follow him in Christian living. Our aim is to love you without selfish ambition or personal gain attached. This is the willful, divine love God expresses to all humanity. We want to love you as Jesus loves you!

If you are looking for a place to grow your faith in Christ, and your understanding of Christianity, please consider joining us! We are passionate about you because God is!

What To Expect

Our motto is “God is on the move”. So,, we believe that, as followers of Jesus, we should follow him into the plan he is working for Okeechobee County and beyond. We should also be on the move.

Every church family has unique ways they are fitted to serve their community. Our strengths are fitted for two main ministries:

  1. OkeeNaz Kidz - Every staff member in our church is also an experienced classroom teacher. Our focus is to build relationships with children and families. Our bus routes pick up on Thursday nights and Sunday mornings (starting August 11) for a VBS-style event that is exciting and spiritually formative.

  2. OkeeNaz Small Groups - Choose a Bible study, join our Kingdom Connection prayer, attend our Meet n’ Eat fellowship and GAME nights, and volunteer to help in our community. We believe that every person has both the ability and responsibility to contribute to the mission and vision by Giving, Praying, and Self-Denial.

Meet the Hickmans

Pastor Derek and Tara Hickman followed God’s call to move to Okeechobee in July 2017.
